During SCAD summer programs, participants gain an authentic experience of what it's like to be a SCAD student. While activities and events vary between locations, this general overview covers a typical day.

SCAD Summer Seminars activities

Between workshops, students have the option to participate in activities at SCAD or to explore the city with SCAD Summer Seminar assistants. Our exciting social activities may include touring local museums and galleries, visiting parks or botanical gardens, going to the movies, taking trips to the beach, or going shopping.

Activities, excursions and sightseeing destinations vary per location and may also include:

  • Atlanta's High Museum of Art
  • Atlantic Station in Midtown Atlanta
  • Atlanta's Piedmont Park
  • Movie screenings in SCAD theater spaces
  • Dinner at Savannah's local beach, Tybee Island
  • Local museums in Savannah
  • Symphony of Lights Show in Hong Kong
  • Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car and Big Buddha Tour
  • Sky100 Hong Kong view deck
  • Sham Shui Po guided walking tours
  • Closing night exhibition and dance
  • And many more
