Office of the President

From Savannah and Atlanta to Lacoste and Hong Kong, Winter 2013 quarter at SCAD was certainly one for the books. We celebrated the inaugural SCAD aTVfest and the fourth annual deFINE ART festival, welcoming art-world heroes and entertainment legends from Shirin Neshat to Phylicia Rashād. We cheered on our brilliant students and alumni, whose work was illuminated everywhere from the cover of New York magazine (Michael Scoggins) to the red carpet at the Oscars (Nickson Fong, Steve LaVietes, and Michael Badger). Together, we celebrated the Year of the Snake, and, in perhaps the chilliest SCAD excursion of the season, made (art) history on the world's southernmost continent. Now more than ever, SCAD is truly everywhere.

From Cape Town to Chicago, Tallahassee to Taipei, students come to SCAD to explore uncharted territories and invent new ways to experience the world. At four distinct locations and online through SCAD eLearning, SCAD offers more than 100 unique academic degree programs, meaningful projects with real-world companies, and a network of alumni who go on to redefine the creative professions. Quite simply, SCAD is the place to be – the place to live, learn, and create.
