Film screening: "Exit through the Gift Shop"

Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012

The SCAD Museum of Art and the Student Activities Council present "Exit through the Gift Shop," a Movie under the stars. Directed by graffiti artist, Banksy, this film contains exclusive footage of many of the world's most infamous street artists, including Shepard Fairey, Invader and Banksy himself. Banksy has a global reputation, with work in post-hurricane New Orleans and the Palestinian West Bank. Fiercely guarding his anonymity to avoid prosecution, Banksy has resisted being filmed until a French shopkeeper-turned-filmmaker befriends him. The film will be shown outside in the museum courtyard (or in the theater in case of rain). Free and open to SCAD students, staff, professors and museum members.
