The Collaborative Learning Center is SCAD's unique and innovative endeavor that focuses on creating authentic and collaborative learning opportunities for students, faculty and external partners. As the creative hub, the center will facilitate, support and fund tripartite collaborative ventures to further enhance SCAD's learning environment where ideas and projects are inspired and ultimately brought to fruition. By providing students with ample opportunities to participate in real-world collaboration initiatives, the center aspires to fulfill SCAD's mission of preparing talented students for professional careers, emphasizing learning through individual attention in a positively oriented university environment.

The extraordinary SCAD faculty of more than 600 professors—89 percent of them full-time—are dedicated to teaching and sharing their expertise and professional connections with SCAD students and alumni. With the support and facilitation of the center, SCAD professors play a key role in creating authentic learning experiences and real-world collaboration opportunities that challenge students beyond their normal course of study.
