Enter the loading dock through the gate and drive up the ramp. We will have staff on hand to unload your materials and take them to your booth while you park, as you will not be able to remain in the loading dock area. Park in the large parking lot to your right near the entrance doors. Someone will be there to greet you and point you toward the exhibit hall. If you shipped materials in advance, they will be waiting for you at your booth.

Make the most of your SCAD Career Fair experience

Interviews

Organize your interviews with students and alumni using these strategies:

  • Prior to the event: As you review résumés from your posting(s) on the SCAD Job Portal, directly contact individuals of interest and invite them to interview at your booth. We recommend leaving the morning open for time to collect new résumés and meet new candidates, and use the afternoon for your scheduled interviews.
  • Day of the event: Block off 9 a.m. to noon as the time to meet, greet and collect résumés. As you meet with students, invite those you're interested in to return for an afternoon interview and sign them up on the spot. Your 12:30-3 p.m. time slot is then open for interviewing.

Time management

  • Manage time expectations upfront with career-seekers.
  • Keep your initial meetings less than three minutes.

Student assistants

  • Use SCAD student assistants to manage your booth's line, coordinate on-site interviews and organize materials.
  • Communicate your needs with your assistant throughout the day.
  • Ask your assistant to bring lunch to your booth if you're unable to break away.

Connections

  • If you're running late or think you're lost, call 912.358.8172.
  • If you need to leave early, notify your student assistant.
  • If your company isn't immediately hiring, share information about the timeline and application process.
