Updated Saturday, Feb. 8 at 8:25 p.m.: Based on guidance from the City of Savannah, Savannah College of Art and Design is lifting the previous advisory that students living in Turner, Turner Annex, Boundary, Weston and Dyson remain in their residences.

Fahm, Alexander, Adler and Hamilton halls will reopen at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9.

City officials advise you to monitor air quality and stay indoors should conditions deteriorate.

Be sure to monitor your email and cell phones, and stay up to date via the blog.

 

********** Posted Saturday, Feb. 8 at 3:50 p.m.: Due to the smoke from the warehouse fire near West River and Bay streets, Savannah Fire and Rescue has advised that all SCAD students, faculty and staff stay in place if they are at the following residence halls: Turner House, Turner House Annex, Boundary Village, Weston House and Dyson House.

Residents are advised to shut off heating/cooling systems as well to avoid further exposure to the smoke.

The following SCAD facilities are temporarily closed due to road closures: Fahm, Alexander, Adler and Hamilton halls. Students, faculty and staff will be notified when the buildings re-open.
