Directions
The SCAD Museum of Art is located in Savannah's downtown historic district at 227 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., two doors north of the Savannah Visitor Information Center, and one block west of the Savannah Civic Center.


Admission
There is no charge for admission to the SCAD Museum of Art, although donations are accepted.


Hours
Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
After Sept. 1, the museum also will be open Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
Closed Saturday, New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day

A bicycle rack is located outside the building. Bicycles are parked at the owner's risk; the SCAD Museum of Art cannot accept responsibility for vandalism or theft.


Coat-check Areas
All packages, backpacks and umbrellas must be left in the coat-check areas near the SCAD Museum of Art entrance and must be retrieved before the building closes. No luggage or garment bags are accepted.


Gallery Photography Policy
Still photography is permitted only for private, noncommercial use and only in the galleries devoted to the SCAD Museum of Art's permanent collection. Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. Photography is not permitted in special exhibitions or areas designated as "No Photography." Works of art on loan from private collections or other institutions may not be photographed. The use of a flash is prohibited. Movie and video cameras are prohibited.

The SCAD Museum of Art reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to withhold and/or withdraw permission to photograph on its premises or to reproduce photographs of objects in its collection.


Sketching and Copying
Sketching with pencil only is permitted in all galleries devoted to the permanent collection and in most special exhibitions. Inquire at the information desk in the Great Hall regarding current special exhibitions in which sketching is permitted. The use of ink, fountain pen and watercolor is prohibited.


Dining Facilities
The coffee bar at Ex Libris, located across the street at 228 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., serves light fare and snacks. Summer hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.


Accessibility
Because of its landmark status, the SCAD Museum of Art has limited accessibility for visitors with mobility impairments. The first floor is completely accessible with a sidewalk ramp, a handicapped automatic door and an ADA restroom. Call 912.525.7191 for more information.
