SCAD, Savannah, Student Life, Exhibitions, Gallery Hop, Icarus, Red Gallery, 2006 Exhibitions in Savannah College of Art and Design college galleries include student, alumni and faculty work in various majors, as well as the work of distinguished artists.

The galleries have shown the work of Jim Dine, Adrian Piper, James Surls, Laurie Simmons, Benny Andrews, Dale Chihuly, Robert Rauschenberg, Jasper Johns, Jacob Lawrence, Helen Frankenthaler, Patrick Dougherty, Robert Mapplethorpe, Annie Leibovitz, Andy Warhol, Romare Bearden, Miriam Schapiro, Audrey Flack, Betye Saar, Julian Schnabel, Dennis Hopper, Martin Mull, Linda McCartney, David Salle, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Sandy Skoglund, Judy Pfaff, Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Nancy Grossman and Faith Ringgold, Kai-Yin Lo, Bud Shark, Alain Le Quernec, Stephen Hendel, Liliana Porter, Jenny Watson, John Moore, Wolfgang Staehle, and many others. Extraordinary premieres such as a monumental video/sound diptych by Venice Biennale artist Bill Viola, a multimedia installation by Masaki Fujihata and a Corbis Corporation CD-ROM exploring the work of Leonardo da Vinci have given SCAD students the first look at emerging trends.

Exhibiting artists regularly visit the college to speak about their work and conduct seminars and portfolio reviews. The college also hosts traveling shows produced by organizations such as the Society of Illustrators and the American Institute of Architects and exhibits the work of SCAD faculty, students and alumni in various venues around the world.

SCAD-Atlanta offers Gallery 1600, Trois Gallery, and the ACA Gallery and ACA Sculpture Gallery on the grounds of the Woodruff Arts Center.
