Awards and Recognition
Work by art history professor Jonathan Field, Ph.D., was featured in a review and essay in the March/April issue of Art Papers. Some of his pieces recently were exhibited at SCAD-Atlanta's Gallery Trois. The work will travel to SCAD-Savannah's Pinnacle Gallery this summer.

Students can meet this requirement by passing the language exam administered by the department. Students also must pass a comprehensive exam as part of the degree requirement. Architectural history courses at the appropriate level may serve as art history electives with faculty adviser approval. Students are required to take courses from at least three of the four major periods of art history: ancient, medieval, Renaissance through rococo, and modern.
