Animation

SCAD animation students select from a wide range of classes to develop specialized skills in 2-D and 3-D character animation, stop motion animation, digital modeling, rigging, lighting and look development. SCAD animation students are sought-after interns and employees at leading animation studios, which benefit from their specific expertise within the field.


Career preparation

The SCAD animation curriculum encourages students to create distinct artistic and specialist profiles by selecting classes in animation and related disciplines. Within the School of Film, Digital Media and Performing Arts, SCAD animation students can collaborate with students of film and television, interactive design and game development, motion graphics, production design, visual effects and more. Extensive review by industry-veteran professors ensures that SCAD students graduate with professional-level reels, showcasing their dynamic work.

Animation is offered in Atlanta, Hong Kong and Savannah.
