Jason Abbott (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) is creative director of his illustration and graphic design company, Abbott Creative. He lives in Marietta, Ga., with his wife, Melissa.

Mark Adams (M.F.A., video/film, 1994) lives in Great Bend, Kan., with his wife, Tracy, and their child, Morgan. Adams is the communications specialist and video director and producer for the Barton County Community College.

Stefan Agustsson (B.F.A., photography, 1994) earned a master's degree in business administration from Rockford College. He is now vice president of Yoffi Digital Press Inc. Aaron Alexander (B.F.A., photography, 1994) is an associate professor at Florida School of the Arts. He maintains an active gallery record, exhibiting traditional and digital photography and screening his films and digital video installations. Murray Baughman (B.F.A., computer art, 1994) is systems administrator for Hostcentric/Interland, a Web hosting company. Baughman lives in Orlando, Fla., with his wife, Jennifer; they are expecting a daughter in March 2003.

Andrew Bayroff (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in New York, N.Y., and wrote, "Less than a year ago I moved from Los Angeles back to the East Coast. I am currently living in New York on the Upper East Side freelancing and doing contract work with various advertising agencies including Deutsch, Draft, Wieden + Kennedy and Brand Buzz. I am also in the middle of writing a dramatic novel, which hopefully will be completed by the end of the year."


James 'Jim' Becker (B.F.A., video, 1994) lives in Antioch, Tenn., with his wife, Leslie, and their son, Justin (August 2003). They are expecting their second child in June 2005. Becker specializes in legal services, coordinating a team of 12 in computer training, word processing, application support, scheduling, etc. for the law firm of Bass, Berry & Sims PLC.

David Bishop (M.Arch., 1994) is a project architect with Solutions Inc., in Tampa, Fla. Bishop lives in Bradenton, Fla., with his wife, Robin, and their son, Connor (March 2000).

Scott Bishop (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) lives in Cambridge, Mass., and is a procurement coordinator for Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the largest private philanthropy in the country. The Institute is dedicated to various kinds of medical research.

Maude (Black) Hinely (B.F.A., interior design, 1994) is an interior designer with Plantation Interiors, a residential and commercial interior design firm in Hilton Head, S.C. Hinely lives in Savannah, Ga., with her husband, Ronald.

Nicki Bloomer (M.F.A., illustration, 1994) has relocated her growing family from Southern California to the coast of North Carolina. Gina Caraviello (B.F.A., fibers, 1994) lives in Savannah, Ga., with her husband, Demetrius 'Meech' Huddleston (M.Arch., 1995), and their children, Zoe (February 1998) and Jasper (February 2003). She wrote, "After a few years in the stationery industry, I decided to concentrate on MY art while starting a family. So now, in the middle of being a hands-on SuperMom to the world's best kids, and a loving freak of a wife to Meech, I actually have managed to sell a few pieces and have a few showings with my fellow alumni. Robert Chenoweth (M.Arch., 1994) works for Martin Boal Anthony & Johnson Architects. He and his wife, Ingrid, are parents to Curtis (March 1996) and Meghan (December 1999) and are expecting a third child in June.

Edward Christensen (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) lives in Perkasie, Pa., and is the proprietor of Christiansen's, an engraving and sand-blasting studio.

Eric Coker (B.F.A., video/film and illustration, 1994) lives in Durham, N.C. with his wife, Laura Poole.  He is a senior multimedia developer with Presentation Strategies, Inc. Anne (Compton) Wilkerson (B.F.A., video, 1994) is an applications development specialist with Scripps Networks, a cable television company whose brands include HGTV, DIY, Food Network and Fine Living. She lives in Knoxville, Tenn., with her husband, Scott.

David Conlin (B.F.A., computer art, 1994) is an interactive media developer for Carolinas Health System. He lives in Charlotte, N.C., with his wife Shannon (Kiedis) Conlin (B.F.A., fashion, 1994).

Judy Covington (B.F.A., interior design, 1993; M.F.A., interior design, 1994) lives in Albany, Ga., and is a professor at Darton College. She is engaged to marry S. Elizabeth 'Betsy' Dahlie (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) lives in Wellesley, Mass., and is the author/illustrator for her second picture book, a retelling of the classic "The Country Mouse and The City Mouse." Her book is being published by Little, Brown and Company.

Amy (Despain) Beatty (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) and Thomas Beatty (M.F.A., computer art, 1995) live in Spanish Fork, Utah. She wrote, "In the spring of 2006, I began home schooling my son, Daniel, because of issues related to his Asperger's Syndrom. So he and I are on a new journey together now, in which we are sometimes enchanted, sometimes intrigued, sometimes just plain exhausted; but always accompanied by our sprightly sidekick, his little sister, Elizabeth. She's full of sunshine and life, and her cheery laugh keeps us all from taking ourselves too seriously. We'll miss her when she goes off to kindergaten in the fall. She passed the NCIDQ exam in October 1997 and is currently a licensed interior designer with the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design. Scott Fischer (B.F.A., painting, 1994) is a self-employed freelance artist. Fischer and Teresa Green (B.F.A., illustration, 1993) married in 1996. They moved to Spencertown, N.Y., where they started Greenfisch Studios. Fischer took up freelancing within six months of graduating and has never looked back. The science-fiction fantasy market occupies the majority of his time. His work has been used for "Star Wars," "Harry Potter," "Magic the Gathering," "Dungeon and Dragons," and "White Wolf." His work appears in numerous Spectrum Art Annuals.

Carrie (Forry) Roush (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1994) lives in Newville, Pa., and is owner of Persnickety Pony Embroidery & Gifts. Nancy Geiger (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) lives in Denver, Colorado, with her fiancé, Bernard. She works as the lead graphic and Web designer for H&F International, a Denver consulting company. Geiger does freelance work for companies in and outside Colorado, designing corporate identities, illustrations and Web sites.

Meaghan Golden (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Manhattan, N.Y. She has operated mgolden design for seven years, with clients on the East and West Coasts. She also runs a custom jewelry design business and her jewelry is sold at shopSCAD. She is a partner, along with her boyfriend, Kirk, in Beachfront Investments, a commercial/residential property investment company.

Vanessa Goodrum (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Jacksonville, Fla., and works at Ramworks, a Web development company creating Internet presence for Fortune 500 companies such as Tropicana and CSX Transportation.

Charles Grace (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives on Hilton Head Island, S.C., with his wife, Leslie, and is an art director for Meissner Design. Paul M. Grossman (B.F.A., computer art, 1994) most recently was a track presentation speaker in Las Vegas at the 2007 HP Software Universe Cnnference. This was his third conference presentation on the secrets of succesful test automation projects based on his career experience. He is an HP Certified Instructor, holding current certification as an HP Quality Center Certified Product Consultant and an HP Qucik Test Professional Product Specialist. Jared Knowles (M.F.A., historic preservation, 1994) lives in New York, New York and is the deputy director of preservation for the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission. The Commission is a city agency that protects and preserves the city's landmark buildings and historic districts. The Commission also regulates changes to designated buildings.

Maribeth (Kocimski) Ratajczk ( B.F.A., video/film, 1994) wrote," I am a very busy mother of 4 and my husband, Ron, and I are expecting out 5th! However, with the education I obtained at SCAD, there are so many employment opportunities and I really need the flexibility with the kids. It is great to freelance the production of the State of the Village Address or Town Meeting or any other local event and still be able to manage the family. Substitute teaching has also been a great job. TV production classes are everywhere! My family went to Savannah a few years ago on my husband's business trip. It was a blast to visit Pulaski House, Ogelthorpe, and 507 Tatnall!"

Jon Kownacki (B.F.A., photography, 1994) lives in Atlanta, Ga., where he operates Jon Michael Kownacki Photography. Kownacki's studio produces creative photography and high-end pre-press services for some of the most successful companies and creative individuals in the nation. Kownacki also teaches digital photography at the Art Institute in Atlanta.

Kenneth Kurras (B.F.A., video and illustration, 1994) lives in Burbank, Calif., and is the technical director/effect animation for Centropolis Effects, LLC, whose past projects include "The Patriot," Monkey Bone," and "Godzilla." Currently they are working on the film "Arac Attack."

Michael Lafata (B.F.A., computer art, 1994) is the design director for FOX6 in San Diego, Calif., the Fox network's affiliate of the year. They recently launched a brand new newscast and a weekly sports show. Lafata is responsible for leading a group of six designers in all aspects of design for a television station, from opens to print ads to commercials. Lafata married Naomi Migel April 16, 2000. He recently won an Emmy for excellence in design and animation.

Lina Latorre (M.F.A., graphic design, 1994) is president/art director of Estudio Grafico Lina Latorre, a graphic design company. She lives in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, with her husband, Jochi, and their daughter, Andrea (July 1997).

Eric Leeds (B.F.A., video/film, 1994) lives in White Plains, N.Y., with his wife, Doreen.   Leeds is the chief photographer for News 12 Westchester, a 24-hour news station.   He recently won his 3rd Emmy - this one for Best News Special in 2005.

Alana (Swanson) Wilson (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Silver Spring, Md., with her husband, John, and her sons, Ethan and Kyle. She wrote, "I stay busy operating a home-based Creative Memories business and raising my two sons."

Peijuan Tang (M.F.A. graphic design, 1994) is an art director with the Urbitran Group, an architecture/engineering firm in New York City. Tang is responsible for producing the company's Web site, trade show boards, client proposals, brochures, and other materials. Tang lives in Forrest Hills with her husband, Lyle Benjamin.

Don Taylor (B.F.A., computer art, 1994) is a lighting artist for Dreamworks. He lives in Burbank, Calif., with his wife, Mary Momberg (B.F.A., illustration, 1994).

Geoffrey Taylor (M.Arch., 1994) earned a doctorate from Harvard Design School on June 10, 2004. His dissertation, "Tholos' compasso and Euclid's bacolo: Architectural Survey Drawings in the Goldschmdt and Scholz Scrapbooks," revealed the training and education of architects through their drawing practices during the first half of the sixteenth century in Rome. Taylor previously received his M.Des., with a concentration in the history and theory of architecture, from Harvard University.

Joseph Brent Taylor (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Greensboro, N.C., with his wife, Karla (Baisey) Taylor (B.F.A., illustration, 1994), and their daughter, Abby (November 2003). Joseph Brent Taylor is an art director with Ed Kemp Associates.

Claudine Teran (B.F.A., fashion, 1994) lives in Panama City, Panama, with her husband, Juan, and their son, Juan. They were expecting a second son in March 1998. Teran is the owner of her own fashion workshop, Claudine's Unlimited, through which she designs and produces clothing for women of all ages.

Michael Thomasson (M.F.A., computer animation, 1994) and his wife, JoAnn, live in Lexington, Ky., where Thomasson is a senior animator with World AV. As a senior animator, Thomasson creates graphics and animations for corporate events, broadcast, legal courtroom simulations and architecture.

Andrew Thompson (M.F.A., graphic design, 1994) works for Aaron Marcus and Associates Inc., in the Bay Area of California. As a designer/analyst he designs, develops and consults on graphic user interfaces.

Mark Thwaites (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in New York, N.Y., and is creative director for BOLTNYC, a product and brand design company.

Oliver Tollison (B.F.A., photography, 1994) lives in Venice Beach, Calif., and is a freelance photographer and documentary filmmaker in Los Angeles.

Craig Tomeny (B.F.A., video/film, 1991; M.F.A., video/film, 1994) had his photographs published in Savannah Bride magazine; he is the proprietor of Craig Paul Studios.

Kim Troxall (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) is living in Lexington, Ky., and is the senior graphic designer for Host Communications Inc., a company that designs game programs, media guides, posters and related print media for various college athletic programs. Troxall is responsible for the design of college athletic programs such as the University of Texas, Boston College and the University of Georgia. She also designs for travel and spa magazines.

Kathleen Tsai (B.F.A., fashion, 1994) is a sales associate with Ann Taylor in Wheaton, Ill., wardrobing customers and pursuing artistic interests on the side. She is married to Jack Chandler, Wheaton College alumnus and part-time photographer.

Angela Turbeville (M.F.A., fibers, 1994) lives in Atlanta, Ga., with her husband, Oliver.   Turbeville is an assistant professor at the University of West Georgia.


Jason Unger (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Milford, Conn., with his wife, Nancy, and children, Allison and Richard (March 2001). He is group creative director for Alcone Marketing Group (www.alconemarketing.com).

Aaron Usiskin (M.F.A., computer art, 1994) lives in Princeton, N.J., and is creative director for LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell, a legal network. Usiskin oversees all creative projects and a staff of more than 20 people.  


Kathryn "Katie" Vermillion (M.F.A., painting, 1994) teaches and works as an artist in Plano, Texas. She recently designed the official Centennial Poster for Frisco, Texas. Her work can be seen at www.vermilliongallery.com.

Nicole (Wagner) Cormier (B.F.A., photography, 1994) is project manager and sales support for Photobition, a woldwide commercial, digital, photographic lab. She assists national clients with project planning and production. Cormier lives in Deltona, Fla., with her husband, Douglas Cormier.

Katherine Wakefield (B.F.A., video, 1994) wrote, "In the past year I have been inspired by the Dog Whisperer and am now a certified dog trainer, I have just completed my first group dog training classes at our local humane socety, where I am a voulnteer. I hope to soon start my own business (www.roverrehab.com) and buy a digital video camera and continue with my SCAD skills by helping the shelter promote adoptable animals. I am still self employed (for 11 years) teaching older adults computer skills and designing websites for non-profit organizations and small businesses, I make time to play tennis and watch movies."

Lindsey Waldrep (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Chicago, Ill., and is the senior art director of home fashions for the ABD Group.

Shannon Walsh-Bacchus (B.F.A., interior design, 1994) lives in Medford Lakes, N.J., with her children, Zachary (October 1993) and Micky (March 1995). She is the senior training consultant with PHH Mortgage.


Richard Walworth (B.F.A., illustration, 1994) works as a technical illustrator for Barnett Inc., in Jacksonville, Fla.

Amy (Ward) Clark (B.F.A., photography, 1994) lives in Racine, Ohio, with her son, William (January 2000). She wrote, "I am a substitute teacher for two different school districts. I am also a student at University of Rio Grande where I am pursuing my B.S. in education to obtain my teaching licensure."


Archer Watkins (B.F.A., painting, 1996) lives in Fort Mill, S.C., and is audio architecture librarian for Muzak, a forground music provider. Watkins is responsible for maintaining 68 years worth of music in both physical and digital media.


Sara (Weiss) Mastro (attended SCAD) lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband, Michael, and son, David (November 2003). She is a user experience director for Discovery Education.


Jason West (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Portland, Ore., and is principal of Designwest, his own graphic design business.

Rama Wong (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) lives in Littleton, Colo., with his wife, Kim, and their children, Addison and Aiden. Wong is an art director with Regal CineMedia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Regal Entertainment Group. Wong is the lead creative for both print and on-screen advertising within Regal's brand subsidiaries.


Bob Woods (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) is the manager for the public house of the Nor'Wester Brewing Company in Portland, Ore.

Trevor Wooten (B.F.A., sequential art, 1996) is the designer and silk screen supervisor for the Coastal Center for Development Services in Savannah. The center offers employment and counseling to mentally retarded citizens and recovering addicts.

George Worrell (B.F.A., graphic design and photography, 1994) is creative director/principal for i4 design, a full-service visual communications firm specializing in business-to-business brand building. Worrell lives in Columbia, S.C., with his wife, Stephanie.

Margaret Wylie (B.F.A., graphic design, 1994) is a graphic designer for Conso Products in Union, S.C., designing catalogs, ads and packaging.

Harold Yoder (M.Arch., 1994) lives in Birmingham, Ala., and is an architectural intern with Sherlock, Smith & Adams Inc.

Bridget Yunker (B.F.A., historic preservation, 1994) owns her own frame restoration company called Gilded Relic; she works with galleries and private collectors who need to have antique frames restored. She lives in Elkton, Fla.
