The SCAD advertising program covers the full spectrum from design and copywriting to integrated brand marketing, strategic planning and more. Through class projects with major companies, students gain professional experience in a guided setting. By mastering all facets of advertising while working with prestigious companies, students are prepared to enter the advertising profession as leaders and principals.
Professionally preparedSCAD builds a complete creative professional through a progressive curriculum that includes design, art direction, business, history, strategy, Web media, typography and interaction. Each year, students collaborate with partner companies and with students from other departments to create advertising campaigns for national competitions. As a result of their SCAD education and their close collaboration with professionals, these students bring home awards in an array of competitions, such as the ADDY Awards, The Art Directors Club, Cannes Young Lions and One Show.
Advertising is offered in Atlanta, Hong Kong, Savannah and online via eLearning.
