Welcome prospective students and parents! With more than 40 degree programs, SCAD encompasses the spectrum of art and design disciplines, offering a wide variety of career paths and opportunities. The admission office and the faculty look forward to assisting you in finding the best fit for your talents and interests. Individual attention will continue once you enroll thanks to SCAD's commitment to small class sizes and one-on-one professor and peer interaction. All programs feature professors with extensive industry experience as well as guest lectures and artists-in-residence to enhance the quality of your SCAD education.
The Savannah College of Art and Design is the most comprehensive art and design university in the world, offering more degree programs and specializations than any other art and design university. The diverse student body of 9,500 comes from all 50 United States and nearly 100 countries.
The Savannah College of Art and Design accepts applications on a rolling basis; new students may enter any quarter. To ensure priority and adequate time for processing, early application is encouraged.
Once you have applied, admission counselors are available to assist you and answer questions about admissions, housing, financial aid and scholarships. Transfer evaluators are also available to address questions regarding transfer credit and registration.

Congratulations on completing the application for admission! Students typically receive their SCAD admission decisions within 2-4 weeks of the file being completed for review.
Congratulations on your acceptance to the Savannah College of Art and Design! As a SCAD student, you will join an elite group of artists who are on their way to leading successful, professional, creative careers in art and design. In order to reserve your space at SCAD and indicate that you plan to enroll at the university, you must pay the $500 enrollment fee.

Portfolio preparation
Although portfolios and auditions are not required for undergraduate admission, applicants are encouraged to present writing or visual arts portfolios or to audition when possible to enhance the application file and to be considered for scholarships.
