Hong Kong A-level Credit

Hong Kong Advanced Level examinations administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority are well-established and internationally recognized. Hong Kong A-level examinations indicate a level of achievement that may qualify a student for advanced standing. Credit for Hong Kong A-level examinations is awarded if certain requirements are met. Hong Kong A-level credit awarded by another college or university is not transferable without proper documentation. Official Hong Kong A-level scores must be submitted to the office of admission. Credit is awarded on a selective basis. Transfer credit from all sources may not exceed 90 quarter hours.

Literature in English	C	English elective, general education elective and free elective
Principles of Accounting	C	General education elective and two free electives
Psychology	C	Social/behavioral science requirement and general education elective and free elective
Visual Arts	C	DRAW 100 Drawing I (with portfolio review), DSGN 100 2-D Design, and DSGN 101 Color Theory or studio elective.

Mathematics
Applied Mathematics	C	MATH 201 Applied Mathematics, and general education elective and free elective
Pure Mathematics	C	MATH 101 Basic Mathematics, and general education elective and free elective

Sciences
Biology	C	General education elective and two free electives unless student passes SCAD math competency exam. In this case, may use as a natural sciences requirement and general education elective and free elective.
Chemistry	C	General education elective and two free electives unless student passes SCAD math competency exam. In this case, may use as a natural sciences requirement and general education elective and free elective.
Physics	C	PHYS 201 Physics for Architecture, and general education elective and free elective unless student passes SCAD math competency exam. In this case, may use as a natural sciences requirement and general education elective and free elective.
