Savannah Orientation
Welcome
Welcome to Savannah. We are very pleased that you have chosen the SCAD as the place to further your education with a degree in the visual and performing arts, design, the building arts or the history of art and architecture. The student services staff provide students with social, personal and intellectual programs, services and activities that bridge the academic and nonacademic areas of student life, support personal goals and encourage individual and social responsibility.
During the next several days you will be introduced to fellow students and college administrators who will familiarize you with what college life is all about and tell you how to address the challenges you might encounter. Most importantly, you will be shown how to get the most out of your college experience. This orientation program is designed to be interactive, and I encourage you to participate fully in all aspects of it so that you will be ready to embrace the opportunities the college has to offer. Your orientation also will continue throughout your first quarter, in your First-year Experience course.
