The Savannah College of Art and Design is pleased to offer students and families an easy-to-use, online net price calculator. The net price calculator is designed to help you estimate the financial aid options that may be available to help fund your education at SCAD. The "net price" figure includes estimated costs less anticipated merit-based and need-based scholarships and grants.
The entire process takes approximately 5-10 minutes. If you do not have your tax information as well as your parents' readily available, estimates may be used. The results are based on 2011-12 award rules and are intended for U.S. citizens or permanent residents who will be first-year, degree-seeking freshmen enrolled full time.
Artistic Scholarships
Although portfolios and auditions are not required for undergraduate admission, applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio, audition, riding or writing submission to be considered for artistic scholarships. The portfolio, audition, riding or writing submission is evaluated according to a rubric relevant to the type of submission. See submission guidelines.
While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the net price calculator, results/estimates do not represent a final determination-or actual award-of financial assistance. The calculations made by the net price calculator shall not be binding on the Secretary of Education, Savannah College of Art and Design or the state. Calculations are subject to change. Students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid in order to become eligible for and receive a federal grant or loan, or work-study assistance. Approximately 80 percent of SCAD students receive some form of financial assistance through scholarships and grants. In order to receive financial assistance to attend SCAD, students must apply and be accepted to the university.
Students applying for admission to SCAD should contact the office of admission with any questions they may have. Continuing SCAD students should contact their student financial adviser.
