Famed photographer David LaChapelle chose SCAD-eLearning undergraduate visual communications student
Molly Gottschalk as the winner of his contest for a personal photo shoot on
MySpace. Instead of a two-night stay in Los Angeles, Gottschalk negotiated a summer internship with LaChapelle in order not to interfere with her planned quarter at SCAD-Lacoste. At LaChapelle's studio she worked as studio production assistant and the studio's house model—see her in a Motorola commercial, a J-Lo video and a 1970s model in Elton John's “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” video. Her stay with LaChappelle ended with a personal photo shoot, from which specific images will appear in an upcoming gallery show. Gottschalk began an internship with Hollywood-based Flaunt Magazine in March. Read .
