Previous Positions

Dr. Rosemary Chai is a professor at SCAD Hong Kong and has lived and worked in various countries and states including Singapore, Malaysia, Hawaii, New York, New Mexico and Washington state. Prior to joining academia, she worked in various multinational corporations. Chai's research interests span cultural issues on the interstices of race, class, identity and sojourner experiences vis-a-vis communicative behavior and cultural influences that extend beyond western philosophies and communication paradigm. She obtained her Ph.D. and Master of Arts, both in the field of Intercultural Communication, from the University of New Mexico.
