"I have always loved the art of passing on knowledge. I began as a piano teacher, then moved on to becoming a teacher of electronic synthesis, recording studio techniques and into the world of theatrical and film sound design. My inspiration for teaching comes from the many fine mentors that I have had the privilege of knowing.

"However, knowledge out of context is useless. Keeping me inspired is a tough job. I owe my family a high level of credit for keeping me connected and current in an ever-changing world. They inspire me in so many ways. I also garner a high degree of inspiration from my colleagues in sound design at SCAD, as well as the ambitious students in my classes who work very hard and produce amazing results! Watching young students grow artistically is truly inspiring."
