"My mother, who was a teacher and an artist and taught me to love both. My love of art and nature inspires me to paint and draw, and instills the desire to pass this passion on to my students. The basic belief that art should be nurtured in anyone with creative aspirations. I was born to teach, it is just my nature."
"Receiving a Presidential Fellowship in June 2009 and having an exhibit of my paintings in oil and watercolors titled 'Chasing the Light' in August 2010. Attaining Adobe Expert Certification in Adobe Photoshop CS. Writing the following courses for the illustration department: Collage for Illustration, Portfolio Development, Collage for the Illustrator, Portrait for the Illustrator, Type and Image for the Illustrator. Writing, designing and art directing a book on architecture, 'The Beach House: Building a Family Heirloom,' about home of Arthur M. Blank, co-founder of The Home Depot. Painting a 14' x 20' mural for the Bethel Native Corporation in Bethel, Alaska."
