B.A., linguistics, University of Southern California, 1992
"I began teaching years ago as a motorcycle safety instructor in California and found the experience to be quite wonderful. As I pursued my career in film, I ultimately become a mentor and advisor to many co-workers ascending through the ranks with me. During my time of owning and operating an environmental health business in Austin, Texas, I was routinely invited to guest lecture at seminars around the state. These experiences ultimately converged as I became a guest lecturer to the film department at The University of Texas. It is through this experience that I have discovered the tremendous joy in educating others. I have found the exposure to the new and creative energy of SCAD students to be amazingly rewarding. I have had so many diverse opportunities in the film industry and sincerely enjoy sharing what I have learned with this next generation of filmmakers."
