- About SCAD
"I began teaching almost accidentally but the longer I teach the more natural it seems. I believe the reason I even began teaching was because of my mother, who had been a teacher herself. Her amazing understanding, patience and tolerance are something I try to bring to my classroom. What has kept me teaching has been the joy and satisfaction I feel when a student finally 'gets it' and then keeps going further, realizing that they are capable of doing amazing things on their own."
"To me, being able to keep developing the direction in my own work has been a satisfying achievement. My two solo gallery shows in 2008 and 2010 meant a lot to me. They each provided me with the opportunity to produce cohesive bodies of work that continues to provide new ideas and directions."
