B.F.A., fashion design, Parsons School of Design

First year at SCAD:
2011

"Being a professional fashion illustrator has been a dream of mine since high school, and the satisfaction I feel when producing drawings that please is extraordinary. Teaching novice fashion design students the skills that I possess and seeing the joy when they realize they can draw is equally as rewarding. I thrive on sharing the creative process and contributing to the growth and enrichment of others, something that flows from educational endeavors and can be lacking in the business world.

"Striving to assist students with their analytical process, challenging and questioning their plans and actions, making sure that they are convinced of their creative ideas and decisions, helping them remain flexible and open to different ways of looking at things so they expand their own observations and abilities, this is my inspiration for becoming a teacher."
