"During my career as an animator, I was awarded the position of animator in residence at the M.O.M.I. in London. The result of the residency was a film commission from Channel 4 Television. The opportunity to develop and direct my personal film 'El Caminante' was the most satisfying of my professional career. The film was screened at festivals all over the world, and also resulted in my second BAFTA nomination for Best Short Animated Film. The transition from animator to teacher was a creatively satisfying one. I enjoy being a part of the artistic development of students and to see them realize their artistic vision through their personal films."
