"At age 8 I took up tap dancing and, shortly after that, decided I wanted to be a music teacher. At 12 I aspired to be an actor/playwright, and then at 14 started my own 'art school' in my basement, 'teaching' neighborhood kids how to do art. Having always been drawn to collaborative creative environments, animation and teaching, it was a natural career choice so that I could work with a group of people in a fascinating intersection of the visual, performing and literary arts. I continually learn how to be a better animation director and producer through teaching and how to be a better teacher through directing and producing, all of which often and rewardingly blends together."Becky Wible Searles | Animation professor
