2016 API session dates
All SCAD Advanced Placement Institutes workshops are at SCAD Atlanta and are held Monday through Friday. Check-in is Monday morning at 8:30 a.m., and participants should check out Friday afternoon before leaving SCAD Atlanta.

Studio Art courses focus on 2-D, 3-D and drawing. English Language and Composition emphasizes nonfiction. All courses are for new and experienced AP educators, both domestic and international.
Explore SCAD Atlanta and area attractions throughout the week by participating in activities planned for API participants. Activities may include discovering the sights and sounds of the Westside Provisions District, enjoying tapas at local dining hotspots, exploring the beauty of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, viewing exhibitions at the High Museum of Art, and other exciting excursions.
Housing and meals
Housing will not be available on site. View a list of nearby accommodations. All participants receive an orientation breakfast on Monday, lunch Monday through Friday, and coffee daily. All other meals are participants’ responsibility. Meals may be purchased à la carte at the SCAD dining facility.
Travel and parking
Atlanta is easily accessible by airplane, train, bus and automobile. SCAD does not provide transportation to and from the airport, train or bus stations. Information regarding ground transportation services from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are available online.
Complimentary parking is available in the SCAD Atlanta parking garage, 1600 Peachtree St. Participants will receive a SCAD shuttle schedule at check-in that includes information regarding SCAD bus routes. Transportation is provided to all organized activities.
