Organized activities

Explore SCAD Atlanta and area attractions throughout the week by participating in activities planned for API participants. Activities may include joining a lecture at world-renowned Ivy Hall, enjoying hors d’oeuvres at SCADpad, attending an evening reception at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film, exploring the beauty of the Atlanta Botanical Garden, viewing exhibitions at the High Museum of Art, taking a trip to see the Atlanta Braves, and more.

Housing and meals

Housing will not be available on site. SCAD has reserved a room block at Twelve Atlantic Station for API participants. There is limited space available, so participants are asked to book in advance online to obtain the group rate for SCAD. There are only a select number of rooms in the discounted block, so please book as soon as you are able. Once the block is full, the rate will no longer be available. You may also view a list of nearby alternative accommodations.

All participants receive an orientation breakfast on Monday, lunch Monday through Friday, and coffee daily. Some light fare may be provided at select optional evening activities, but all other meals are participants’ responsibility.

Travel and parking

Atlanta is easily accessible by airplane, train, bus and automobile. SCAD does not provide transportation to and from the airport, train or bus stations. Information regarding ground transportation services from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport are available online.

Complimentary parking is available in the SCAD Atlanta parking garage, 1600 Peachtree St. Participants will receive a SCAD shuttle schedule at check-in that includes information regarding SCAD bus routes. Transportation is provided to all organized activities.
