B.F.A. sound design student Cynthia Harris worked as a postproduction intern this past summer at Atlas Media Corp. in New York City. She learned postproduction techniques that included adding sound cues, editing and dubbing footage. In addition to her internship, she worked as a production assistant on the set of the TV series "Stalked" on Investigation Discovery and closed captioned for Travel Channel's "Hotel Impossible" and Disney's "Frenemies."

Greg Ward (M.F.A., sound design, 2009) and Brian Kucinski (M.F.A., sound design, 2009) were awarded an Emmy for "Outstanding Achievement: Television Crafts Achievement Excellence - Audio" for their postproduction sound design and 5.1 surround sound mix on the documentary "Margaret Mitchell: American Rebel" for Georgia Public Broadcasting. The documentary, now part of PBS's "American Masters" series and broadcast nationally, won a total of five Emmys.

Ian Vargo (B.F.A., sound design 2007; M.F.A., sound design, 2011) is a freelance music recording and mix engineer in Hollywood, California. Vargo is also producer for several independent artists including Ugly, Ugly Words. The band recently completed their second single together with Vargo. The first single, "Groundhog," received rave reviews and is currently featured in several online commercials. Additionally, Vargo is sound designer for the Los-Angeles, California-based directing team, Cousins, and is part-time professor of audio at the Art Institute of California, Inland Empire, in San Bernardino, California.
