Professor Todd Nemanic gave presentations at the following conferences:
  • The Southeastern TESOL Regional Conference held in Knoxville, Tenn. on Sept. 27-29, 2012. His topic was "Strategies to deal with homogenous and heterogenous classes."
  • The Georgia TESOL held in Atlanta on Oct. 25-26, 2012. His presentation was on the advantages and disadvantages of working with homgenous and heterogenous classes and strategies to increase learning.

A story by English Professor Harrison Key was nominated for the Pushcart Prize, a prestigious award for the best annual writing from literary magazines and journals in the U.S. The essay, a creative nonfiction work titled "The Fabulous Bestiary of Alton's Creek," was published in fall 2011 in The Pinch, a journal published by the University of Memphis.
