SCAD presents "Too Many Tangents," a sequential art thesis exhibition

SCAD, Savannah, Sequential Art thesis exhibition, Tangents, 2008 SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah College of Art and Design sequential art department will hold an open thesis exhibition May 5-June 5, at May Poetter Gallery, 342 Bull St., Savannah, Ga. A reception and book release for the department's 2008 Anthology 'Pantomime' will take place Saturday, May 30, 6-8 p.m. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

"Too Many Tangents" will showcase original design work by SCAD sequential art M.F.A candidates. The department’s annual Anthology book will be available for purchase at the reception.


About Sequential Art at SCAD

The Savannah College of Art and Design offers Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Arts and Master of Fine Arts degrees in sequential art as well as a Bachelor of Arts in visual communication with a concentration in sequential art. The field of sequential art encompasses graphic novels, comic books, comic strips, children's books and storyboards for animation and film. Sequential artists combine words and pictures to form entertaining and effective narratives. Students explore computer applications for sequential art such as coloring and cover design, as well as professional opportunities in freelancing and self-publishing.
