SCAD Style hosts "John Galliano" exhibition to honor fashion icon

SCAD, Atlanta, SCAD Style, 2008SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah College of Art and Design presents "John Galliano," an exhibition of photographs about the career of the celebrated fashion designer and style icon, at Red Gallery, 201 E. Broughton St., May 2-June 8. An exhibition reception will take place May 2, 5-7 p.m., during the college's gallery hop.

The exhibition features images by noted photographers Paolo Roversi, Jean-Baptiste Mondino, Peter Lindbergh, Ellen von Unwerth, Julien d'Ys, Steven Meisel, Zanna, Stéphane Sednaoui, Harcourt, Simon Procter and Laurent van der Stock, as well as Nick Knight, who has collaborated with Galliano on high-profile ad campaigns for Dior's ready-to-wear lines.

"John Galliano" is the showcase exhibition of SCAD Style, a month-long extravaganza that culminates in the college's annual fashion show May 17.

Both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
