11/30/2006 SCAD to host 30th annual Beaux Arts Ball Feb. 17 ATLANTA — The Savannah College of Art and Design will host the 30th annual Beaux Arts Ball Saturday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. at SCAD-Atlanta, 1600 Peachtree St.
Mr. and Mrs. Gudmund Vigtel, Mr. and Mrs. Shelton g. Stanfill and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Bankoff will serve as honorary chairs. Mr. Robert E. Cargill, Ms. Paige L. Brown, Mrs. Laura Donnes, Mr. Christopher M. Jones and Mr. Comer Jennings have been named co-chairs.
Funds raised from the Beaux Arts Ball will help support the college's ongoing renovation and rehabilitation of historic Ivy Hall (1883), also known as the Peters House, located at the intersection of Piedmont and Ponce de Leon avenues in midtown Atlanta. When completed, Ivy Hall will serve as a cultural arts and writing center where students and the community can gather to enjoy readings, seminars and lectures by prominent authors, as well as concerts.
