01/19/2006 SCAD Ranked in the Top Five of America’s Best Interior Design Graduate Programs SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah College of Art and Design's interior design graduate program has been ranked fourth in the top 10 programs in the Seventh Annual America's Best Architecture & Design Schools 2006 edition published November 2005.
The list is published by DesignIntelligence, the monthly journal of the Design Futures Council, a global network of design community professionals that exists to explore trends, changes and new opportunities in design, architecture, engineering and building technology.
The interior design rankings are a result of a survey of practitioners who work for interior design firms as well as interior design departments within architecture firms. The practitioners were asked to select their preferred school based on how prepared for the rigors of real-world practice the graduates they’ve hired within the past five years have been and to indicate from which schools the best prepared have hailed.
