SCAD introduces video podcasts on iTunes: For the first time, iTunes users can view the daily activities and events of the Savannah Film Festival
SAVANNAH, Ga. — The Savannah College of Art and Design announced today the introduction of video podcasts on iTunes. Traditionally the college’s videos are available for viewing at www.scad.edu and www.scadondemand.com. With this year’s Savannah Film Festival, SCAD is introducing daily video podcasting on iTunes making film festival activities available to iTunes users everywhere.
The eighth annual Savannah Film Festival, hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design Oct. 29-Nov. 5, presents films by studio, independent and student filmmakers as well as workshops and special guests from all areas of the film industry. Featured guests include directors Sidney Lumet and Terry Zwigoff, actors Ellen Burstyn, Jeff Daniels, Natasha Richardson and James Franco, producer Alan Ladd Jr., film editor and sound designer Walter Murch and animators Don Bluth and Gary Goldman.
Users of iTunes can see and hear what’s going on at the festival at their convenience. Daily video podcasts will begin Oct. 31 and run through Nov. 4. To launch SCAD’s video podcast, go to www.scad.edu/filmfest at 3 p.m. daily for live updates, interviews with honored guests and festival attendees, movie reviews and more. For users who can’t log on at 3 p.m., the webcasts will be archived on the site or search for SCAD on Demand on iTunes podcasts.

In addition to featuring Savannah Film Festival coverage daily via iTunes, SCAD also offers 12 free videos a month that explore living and creating art at the college, student profiles, stories on notable exhibitions and acclaimed visiting artists such as video artist Slater Bradley, indie rockers Wilco, painter David Ellis and fashion designer Tom Ford.
