Marcia Neblett curates student exhibition "From India with Ink"

SCAD foundation studies professor Marcia Neblett has curated the student exhibition "From India with Ink," a collection of woodblock prints created in Chennai, India. The exhibition takes place April 13-17 at Savannah State University in Savannah, Ga. Neblett was the recipient of a Fulbright Grant in 2007, which she used to teach printmaking and drawing at the Government College of Fine Arts, Chennai, India. The prints in this exhibition examine India's current youth culture using woodblock printing. The show's themes are both personal and global, some relating to Indian politics, global warming, fishing festivals, village scenes, personal dreams, and memories of an Indian youth and childhood.
