Rana Edgar (M.A., art history, 2010) published her essay "Mike Kelley's Mobile Homestead: A Re-Envisioning of Space in Public Sculpture" in the Summer 2013 edition of Art Papers.
Edgar's essay critically considered the installation created at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD) after Kelly’s death by addressing the tension between private and public space presented in a public sculpture dependent upon the artist's private history of place.
