SCAD announces 2014 Sand Arts Festival winners


The Savannah College of Art and Design's schools of Fine Arts and Foundation Studies held the annual Sand Arts Festival Friday, May 2, on Tybee Island’s North Beach.

Hundreds of SCAD students, alumni, faculty and staff created extraordinary sculptures and competed for $5,000 in prizes, and thousands of visitors attended the day’s festivities.

Participants registered on-site and competed individually or in teams of up to four members. SCAD professors and staff members judged the competitions.
