Sprite Films top six includes SCAD film and television student
Savannah College of Art and Design film and television student Olivia Riley Day is one of six national finalists in the 2014 Sprite Films competition. Day was selected out of a pool of applicants from 23 colleges and universities and earned a grant to produce a 50-second spot featuring her concept.
“See Your Dreams” and the other five winning scripts are currently in production by the finalists and will debut at CinemaCon, an annual gathering for the motion picture theater community. The public can view and vote for its favorite films online March 24 through May 15 at Sprite.com/films and America will select the student winner of the Fan Favorite Award.
A group of film industry experts will also crown the Green Ribbon Panel winner with the opportunity to work on a Sprite brand project with an agency affiliated with The Coca-Cola Company. In addition, the Green Ribbon Panel winner’s short film will debut in August, in select theaters across the country.
Sprite Films engages student filmmakers nationwide with real-life challenging opportunities to leverage their talents, ignite fresh thinking and realize their potential for greatness behind the camera and beyond. SCAD was named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Top 25 Film Schools of 2013.
