Kiki Poh (M.A., visual effects, 2010), a shading and grooming technical director at Pixar, has been nominated by the Visual Effects Society for Outstanding Animated Character in a Commercial or Broadcast Program for her work on “Toy Story of Terror.” The short CGI-animated film aired as a Halloween 2013 television special and follows the famous “Toy Story” characters on a road trip that takes a turn for the worse during a detour to a roadside motel, where one of the toys goes missing.

The Visual Effects Society, the industry’s professional honorary society, hosts the 12th annual VES Awards ceremony on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in Los Angeles.
