The Mobb Line heads for nationals in Chicago

For a second year, SCAD improv troupe The Mobb Line is making an appearance at the College Improv Tournament Nationals in Chicago, Illinois. The Mobb Line bested the competition during regional tournaments to earn a spot on the national stage March 1, at the Vittum Theater.

The Mobb Line includes:

  • James Edwards (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Ian Mather (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Will Swisher (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Andres Tessari (M.F.A. dramatic writing student, B.F.A., performing arts 2012)
  • Anne-Marie Trabolsi (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Sara Turner (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Matt Webb (B.F.A. performing arts student)
  • Amy White (M.F.A. performing arts student)

Following an afternoon of elimination matches, the final four teams will compete that evening for the title of “Best College Improv Group” and the opportunity to perform alongside many of the world’s best at the world-renowned Chicago Improv Festival.

The SCAD group formed just four years ago and has been invited to compete in the tournament for the past three years.
